I live with my husband (whom I sometimes like) and our persnickety pug (who sometimes likes me) in N. Michigan.
I have been a liquor store manager, factory worker, academic librarian, bookseller, and now I work for a small public library as a jill-of-all-trades librarian. I also have a side hustle, Nerd Girl Industries, where I teach workshops on a variety of topics and help people manage their online presence. Additionally, I have a Jane Austen and Brontë empire where I post regularly about Jane Austen and the Brontës.
You can find me on Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, TikTok, and YouTube. And of course, I have newsletters: A Most Unreliable Narrator, where I write about anything and everything, and Nerd Girl Industries Presents, a newsletter on what’s happening at NGI.
In addition to Jane Austen, I adore Guinness, attempting to bake bread, travel (I’ve been to 14 countries and adding more next year), reading heaving bosom books, and watching trashy TV. You can find more about me at lisarabey.com.
